Paranormal activity torrent download 2007

The only time we get a good look at the picture that is smashed and clawed is when the two run up and down the hallway during the night to get away from the demon. There's an extra video attached to the "Goodbye Dianne" explanation at the computer. There is at least two minutes of added footage of the woman's ordeal, which has been heavily used in the TV commercials. Micah shows Katie footage of Dianne's demonic possession and subsequent exorcism as she is tied to a bed.

Her appearance transforms from healthy to disheveled and dark, with large cuts on her face and body. Eventually, the footage shows that the exorcism was unsuccessful, and the possessed Dianne becomes so destructive that she chews her own arm off to the elbow. The double-layered voice Katie projects in bed when she says, "Everything will be fine from now on" and later screaming downstairs uses a different effect to achieve this.

Unlike the Theatrical Cut, the two voices are very distinct. The ending is completely changed. Katie awakes shortly after midnight on the final night, gets out of bed and stares at Micah for roughly three hours. Unlike the Theatrical Cut, she does not move to his side of the bed to continue watching him, and the sheets do not fly off of his body. Instead, she goes straight downstairs.

After Micah is awakened by the scream, he runs downstairs and we hear the ensuing scuffle. Like before, Katie slowly climbs the stairs, except the footstep effect is slightly altered and when she enters the room, she is holding a knife and covered in blood. Micah's body is not thrown at the camera; he remains downstairs. Katie sits down on the floor against the bed and proceeds to rock back and forth, knife in hand, for several days.

We hear her ignore phone calls and the door bell. Eventually, one of her friends comes in to check on her and finds Micah's body, which momentarily interrupts Katie's rocking. The friend lets out a scream and runs out of the house. Twenty minutes later, we hear the police knock and enter, warning anyone in the house to "make themselves known" because they have their weapons drawn.

As they search the first floor, it appears as if the demon has left Katie's body: we see the light to the attic turn on, then off, as if the demon went back into hiding. The police come upstairs, find Katie and warn her to drop the weapon.

She's dazed, running toward them yelling, "Where's Micah!? Where's Micah?! The door to the attic slams shut, startling the police so much that one accidentally shoots Katie dead. The final sixty seconds of the film shows the confused policemen, asking "Where did that [noise] come from? The film fades to black, and a text appears that dedicates the film to Katie and Micah.

User reviews 1. Top review. I actually preferred this one over the Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield because for the most part there weren't too many shaky camera movements. Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat are effective as the two leads giving believable performances as their characters. The suspense build up was good which doesn't quite pay off but isn't exactly a failure either. The sounds they came up with for the demon or ghost terrorizing the two leads were very effective and well paced throughout the film.

It definitely helped add to the creep factor and the special effects are equally impressive for a 15, dollar budget. I think the demon or evil entity is seen only twice briefly as a sinister shadow proving that sometimes the things we can't really see can be far more effective than the ones we can. I wasn't very scared watching this but it definitely creeps you out. I suggest you go in not knowing too much about the movie otherwise any spoilers might ruin the experience for you.

Overall Paranormal Activity was better than I thought it would be and it's worth watching. The ending is a little predictable but the good outweighs the bad. This film might not be up there with The Shining but its certainly no Shutter or The Grudge to name a few that weren't the greatest at least to me.

So if you're in the mood for a suspenseful horror thriller than Paranormal Activity is the movie for you. FAQ So they lived in the house how long and never noticed the trap door in the closet???

As was said in my review for the original 'Paranormal Activity', despite not being a fan of the kind of camera technique used for often excessive and abused there are a few exceptions and there is an appreciation for the horror genre in general.

After putting off watching 'Paranormal Activity' and its sequels due to the divisiveness being so extreme both ways, the decision was made to watch them all to see what the fuss was about. Didn't hugely care for the original 'Paranormal Activity', while acknowledging that the divisiveness is very much understandable.

Plus, despite major flaws, there were also enough good things to make it a mixed feelings film rather than one of the scariest films ever made or one of the all-time worst as touted on both sides. Seeing 'Paranormal Activity 2', it is certainly not an awful film, again it is a film with its moments, but it was only sporadically effective and didn't feel so necessary. There are good things with 'Paranormal Activity 2'.

Some of the visuals are suitably creepy with some eerie lighting, the most memorable being Kristi being pulled down the stairs by an unseen force. Some of the sound effects, like some freaky loud bangs and sudden noises, are good, there was a part in the kitchen that was pretty terrific. Character development and the characters themselves were pretty underwhelming, but Ali digging out the Ouija board was interesting and made for another one of the more dread-filled moments, the most interesting 'Paranormal Activity 2' got in this respect.

It will be admitted too that things pick up in the last act, things and connections become clearer and there is more momentum.

However, outside of a still pretty good Katie Featherston, the acting is either annoying or bland, not helped by characters that have very little to them or frustrate the viewer with truly stupid and sometimes borderline illogical decision making. While 'Paranormal Activity 2' is sporadically effective in scares and atmosphere, story-wise it does feel too more-of-the-same except far more calculated, and without the intense broodiness or ominous foreboding that would have made things so much better.

At best, most of the scares here were humdrum and too calculated. The film too often feels repetitive and pacing wise most of it, until the last act, is a real slog, making things feel really mundane and dull. The downtime moments feel little more than filler that easily could have trimmed and it would have made the pacing much tauter. The direction occasionally shines but is mostly flat. In conclusion, a weaker sequel, didn't demand a huge amount, considering the even more mixed reception and seeing reviews of those held in high regard by me that weren't in its favour, and sadly it didn't better my expectations.

This lesser follow-up to the surprise low budget hit tells virtually the same story, tenuously linked to the original this time around, the ghostly goings-on are happening to the family of the girl in the original. The film is adequate but does feel lacklustre in places; it should have really upped the game — considering viewers will be aware from the start-off of what it's all about after the first time — but instead it feels like more of a half-hearted retread.

Both a dog and baby are added to the mix to liven things up again, with varied results I like the inclusion of the dog, but it's too obviously playing with its trainer at one stage, and a bit involving the baby in his cot made me burst into laughter — not the intention of the filmmakers, I'm sure.

Kristi seeks solace from her sister Katie Katie Featherston , with whom she had childhood drama. I'll try to write this without any spoilers.

This story's writing is light years ahead of the original. Granted, the original is little more than a suburban couple being haunted. If there is any greatness behind the original, it is really a story about great marketing. The problem was that by the time I watched the original, I knew that it was fictional. In addition to a well made story, this actual has good actors.

The addition of real actors makes it a more watchable affair. I understand the no names in the original added realism for some people.
